A Client Story

I had a tech startup from Mesa, Arizona come to me with a challenging workshop request recently. And it was a challenging request that is becoming more and more common. The company in question is a tech startup and not surprisingly their staff works remotely.
They explained that the number of remote workers they employed expanded dramatically during the pandemic and now they wanted to have a team building event for all of these new employees. But they didn't have a physical headquarters to host such an event and their budget wasn't robust enough to rent space at a resort or conference center.
So the manager who reached out to me was looking to run this workshop online instead of in person. He wanted to know if I could provide a meaningfully valuable improv based Workshop over Zoom, or Microsoft teams or one of the other conferencing platforms.
Now the answer to that question is of course a glorious YES! Few instructors are as experienced in online improv instruction as the Radical Agreement instructors. That is because we teach improv online each and every day! You read that right. Every day we lead improv comedy classes over Zoom.
We were able to put together an amazing experience for all 30 of the employees at this Tech startup. We actually ran two online workshops concurrently and then merged the two groups for a final presentation. if your company is looking for a great online option for team building give us a call
I'll mention that our experience prepares us to use Zoom's interactive tools during the workshop to our advantage. Zoom meetings can get dreadfully boring, by strategically using breakout rooms, polls, the whiteboard feature and more, an experienced improv instructor can keep a group engaged and active throughout an online workshop.

Other Mesa Improv Spots!
Mesa has an offical improv theatre plus a second nearby one in Gilbert, offering plenty of opportunity to learn the art of improv.
Right in te heart of Mesa is the aptly named Neighborhood Comedy Theatre (because it is in the neighborhood, get it?) which provides a rotating platter of improv and specialty classes with the option for scholarships for applicable students. Lots shows on a weekly basis.
A short drive into New Gilbert will leave you at JesterZ. Sure, it sounds like an alien but then the comedy is out of this world! Take a class or see a show, just don't agree to get into any large saucers.
