WORKING WITH US

Team Building Done RIght in Richmond, VA
Every team is different, so every team building activity should be different too. At The Radical Agreement Project we take great efforts to prepare and tailor our improv based events to your team, both before and during your event.
The most important determining factor is the why. What do you want to get from your team building experience? More camaraderie? A deeper understanding of how easy it is to undercut a teammate and erode their confidence? Strategies to empower each other and to encourage full participation from each team member?
Depending on your goals The Radical Agreement Project will begin building the outline of curriculum you can review as part of the proposal process. Detailed exercise guides of simple games with profound wisdom will be provided so that you can understand the experience your team will have. This allows for easy feedback and communication, so that workshop will truly be tailored to you and your team.
We work collaboratively with our clients to painstakingly ensure that the location, duration and participant preparation for your event are all optimal so that the event itself goes off without a hitch.
Depending on your facilities within Richmond, and event preferences, we can provide offsite venue suggestions for spaces that lend themselves to successful improv based workshops. We have held offsite workshops recently in The Fan, Church Hill, Shockoe, Scott’s Addition and Oregon Hill and have useful connections at venues we can share.
Preparing your team for an improv workshop, or any team building event, is just as important as preparing the space and curriculum. An object in motion tends to stay in motion, and if a person is feeling bad about an event before it starts, it take a lot to turn them around once it starts.
We often provide clients with suggested pre work materials to excite your team and foster buy-in before the event begins, so that once the day of the event arrives, before you even introduce the day’s instructor, it is already a success in the minds of your team. These materials can take the form of videos, articles, exercises and even interactive chatbots programmed to play simple improv games with your team.
Selecting your instructor is, of course, critical. You can read more about our high standards for team building workshop facilitators (instructors) on our blog here:
But if you don’t have time to, know that we separate ourselves from most competitors in this space by providing you with detailed bios of suggested instructors before your event so that you can see their extensive credentials and feel certain you will be receiving the premium training experience you are paying for. Although clients always have the option to ask for a different instructor, they never do because we only select high level improv teachers to run our events.
We take great pride in following up with clients after events both for feedback and to help our clients take the one day event and turn it into a long lasting culture of team empowerment and success. Our post work options include all of the same materials as our pre work options.
You are in good hands when you plan to build your team with The Radical Agreeoment Project and we look forward to partnering with you on your next unique event.

"Our instructor's energy was great and contagious. The correlation between Improv and Team Dynamics is an obvious one, working through common problems and issues in the workplace was a central and welcome focus of our workshop."

"To date, I've attended 2 sessions of Radical Agreement's Improv Trainings for L&D professionals . Each session was delivered in a way that made the exercises accessible, un-intimidating, and something I feel able to turnkey to my employee population. I also walk away from each training with levity and joy--great reinforcement that these are skills worth bringing to the workplace!"
WHAT TO EXPECT
Expect participants to laugh and bond while experimenting with improv strategies and their applications to workplace leadership challenges.
The laughter is intentional, with good reason:
Interactive exercises improve learning outcomes and motivation (Wang; Sözmen et al., 2021).
Humor enhances engagement and retention (Lei et al. 2010).
